Master Tung’s approach to Orthopedics
Master Tung's acupuncture offers a unique perspective and approach to treating various orthopedic disorders. For common conditions such as frozen shoulder, tennis elbow, sciatica, lower back pain, knee injuries, to name a few, Master Tung's acupuncture demonstrates distinct efficacy.
Master Tung's acupuncture focuses on utilizing points distal to the affected area. It aims to, among other things, restore Qi and blood flow, thereby alleviating stagnation, which results in rapid relief and increased range of motion.
Perhaps the most common orthopedic condition I’ve encountered during my 15 years as a practitioner, is sciatica. Rather than needling directly at the site of the excruciatingly painful buttock and leg, specific contra-lateral distal points are needled. This approach often delivers unparalleled pain relief to the amazement of the suffering patient (and the practitioner!).
